The O.C. is the hottest show in primetime today. Last month, I provided information about the characters and the issues that each character is facing.
Ryan Atwood and Marissa Cooper:
For the past two weeks, the show was focused on a character named Oliver. Oliver was an emotionally disturbed teenager who was working hard to come between Marissa and Ryan. He would lie to Marissa and manipulate Ryan.
Ryan was the only one who saw right through Oliver. Marissa accused Ryan of being jealous and even broke up with him. No one would listen to Ryan about what he saw in Oliver. No one would give Ryan the benefit of the doubt.
Oliver and Marissa were in Oliver’s penthouse alone. Marissa found out that Oliver was lying about his so-called girlfriend named Natalie. When Marissa realized that Oliver was emotionally unstable, she called Ryan.
Oliver had a gun and he was waving the gun around in his hand. Ryan and Sandy showed up and Oliver put the gun to his head. He was an inch away from committing suicide.
Ryan convinced him to put the gun down. When he did, Marissa ran into Ryan’s arms.
Ryan has been distant with Marissa because she didn’t have faith in Ryan and what he knew. Ryan’s ex-girlfriend Teresa showed up in town. They are starting to hang out and getting to know one another again. But Teresa is dating another guy.
Seth Cohen and Summer Roberts:
Seth Cohen was dating Anna, but still has feelings for Summer. Anna noticed this and decided to break up with Seth. In turn, Seth confronted Summer and told her how he felt about her. They showed their affection by having sex with one another. Seth finally got the girl of his dreams.
Julie Cooper is Marissa’s mother. She and Marissa’s dad got divorced because Marissa’s dad went bankrupt. Julie Cooper wants champagne and caviar, but since her husband can no longer provide them, he is not in her life.
Julie ended up dating Kirsten Cohen’s dad, Calib. He eventually broke up with Julie.
Luke Ward and Julie Cooper:
Luke, Marissa’s ex-boyfriend, is having an affair with Julie Cooper, Marissa’s mother. At this time, no one knows what is going on. This love attraction will turn into a teenage love/obsession romance.
This show sounds like a typical soap opera, but it is really good and addicting.
The show airs on Wednesday nights at 9pm eastern time.
