The Cure for Boredom is at Your Fingers
By Candace Pearson
Hey everyone! Winter break is fast approaching, and you know what that means… extra sleep, fun and boredom. So what do we do about that? Give you some things to do on the Internet to keep you busy!
Bored.com. If that’s ot the perfect site to mention today, I’d like to see what is. Basically, this site is just links… but every single one of them is something to do, so it all works, right? It has links to the forward garden, (it has all those e-mails you get that have been forwarded to just about everyone once… at least.)
- www.123Greetings.com is the place to go for fun e-cards to send your friends for the holidays. It’s free, and much faster than snail-mail. Plus, they can get it on the exact day you want them to, no matter when you send it. Pretty convenient, isn’t it? So far, I’ve sent one to all my friends and family… I’m out of people! Now who do I send them to?
- www.Games.yahoo.com is possibly the one place you can spend all day in and never once get bored. I’m not kidding! Not only are there tons of different games to play, but you play with real people, so you can play and chat at the same time. (Some of my best e-friends have come from there.) Caution: this can become very addicting. Don’t go in unless you have plenty of free time. (Smile)
- www.FreeArcade.com is a site my younger brother and I have recently discovered. As the title suggests, the games are all free to play. Plus, they tend to run contests with some pretty good prizes. If none of the other sites appeal to you, try this. (I would recommend the pool, even though it’s somewhat addicting.)
I hope this helps ward off the boredom that’s bound to come. If you know of any sites that are really good, feel free to e-mail me. Even if it’s your own personal site, I’d love to see it. My e-mail address is Starbird_Fan@hotmail.com. See ya!
